It started back in 1989.

 Robert Savitt and Chris Siddall started Endoscopy Support Services, Inc. to address the growing needs in the endoscopy field. They wanted to provide a viable alternative to the major endoscope manufacturers. The implementation of this concept immediately won them endorsement within the medical and veterinary communities. 

(A "vintage" early-90's ESS Catalog! One of our earlier catalogs, when the ESS main offices were in Patterson, NY and the company's primary focus was on endoscope repairs. Now our catalogs include a large number of endoscopy products, as well as a more expanded repair center)

Now, nearly 27 years after its formation, E.S.S continues to uphold the mandate which led to its founding and have created a significant influence in the transformation of the field of endoscopy.
